E3 2015 Highlights: The Best We’ve Seen Yet

This year’s E3 Press conference brings us some exclusive AAA games this summer. This year, we’ve seen some of the best remakes and sequel to previous games. From sports to rpg, gamers and gaming fans will love what’s in store this year.

Need for Speed

E3 Highlights

EA (Electronic Arts) brings back one of the most anticipated racing games in the gaming industry: Need For Speed. The reboot of Need for Speed has the richest customization ever seen in a NFS game. As you’ll see in this teaser clip, the graphics look realistically stunning, and the cop chasing action is what we’ve come to expect in an NFS franchise. These combinations alone make up an excellent racing game.

Need for Speed will be released on November 3, 2015.

Star Wars: Battlefront

The gameplay footage of Star Wars: Battlefront is showed off at E3 and it is basically what Star Wars fans and enthusiasts have been expecting. The game reveals that Luke Skywalker is a playable hero, in addition to the rebel Alliance and Empire’s roles in combat.
The demo showcase some of the best thing in the Star Wars franchise.

Playing as a Jedi will have the ability to deflect lasers at their attackers as well as cut down soldiers with a lightsaber or clash with enemy heroes. The demo also showcases TIE Fighters and X-Wings in the sky and how the rebels were able to cripple AT-ATs with tow cables.

Star Wars: Battlefront is set for release on November 17, 2015.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Square Enix has finally answered the prayers of Final Fantasy fans and bringing them to their knees with a full remake of a classing Playstation RPG Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

There’s not much to say about the game as the trailer only features a montage of Midgar and its inhabitants. At the end of the scene is a shot of a familiar character – Barret’s gun and Cloud Strife complete with a buster sword wrapped to his back.

NBA Live 16

EA Sports has revealed the next version of the NBA franchise – NBA Live 16. After the success of 2K15 face scanning option, NBA Live 16 revealed its own face scanning feature called GameFaceHD.

A demonstration of NBA Live 16 GameFaceHD scan shows how easy it is to scan your face. With a simple turn of your head to the left and to the right, you’ll be in the game next to popular NBA stars like Stephen Curry and Lebron James.

This iteration of NBA will feature new game modes, and better ball control. The trailer shows what to expect in NBA Live 16:

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst

The incredibly stylish free-running game is back! Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is a first-person platformer that tells you the origin of the main character: Faith in the City of Glass.

The environment is larger than the original and DICE, mentioned that there won’t have any loading screens or levels – just one big open world for Faith to explore.

Fallout 4

Fallout is one of the most anticipated games to have a sequel. Lo and behold, Fallout 4 is set to be released this year.

During Bethseda’s E3 press conference, Todd Howard presented the game demo for Fallout 4. The game features a level of customization never before seen in a Fallout game. The game also features crafting that you can literally rebuild the fallen wasteland. You’ll also be albe to craft and customize your own set of weapons and armor. Probably the best thing to happen in Fallout 4 is the ability to build houses and settlements.

The diversity of what can be crafted is very impressive. Here’s a game demo that showcases everything we mentioned:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hideo Kojima and Konami have revealed the E3 2015 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This epic six minute video showcases what’s to come on the next Metal Gear Franchise. The video is directed and edited by Hideo Kojima himself.

Kingdom Hearts III

It seems that E3 2015 is the year for reboots, remakes and sequels as we get to see another sequel of one of the best console games to date: Kingdom Hearts 3. This trailer features one of the titans from Hercules as well as the walled city that looks suspiciously like Twilight town. A Pegasus summon was also shown and Sora riding in the back of the chariot pulled by the winged horse.

Square Enix has also confirmed that Kingdom Hearts III will feature a level that is based on Disney’s Tangled.

Dark Souls III

Dark Souls III has officially been revealed during Microsoft’s E3 Xbox Conference. This next game published by Namco is set for release in early 2016.

The trailer below shows what we can expect from the franchise. A giant castle, a barren wasteland, and the trademark creepy environments left us craving for more.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Crystal Dynamics showed off the first game play footage of Rise of the Tomb Raider. It is also announced that the release date is on November 10, 2015.

The game play footage shows walking through a cavern lit be flare then emerging to the mountainside. She and her companion are searching for the lost city, scrambling around the mountain in a snow storm. Here’s the footage:

Rockband 4

Rockband 4 is more than just a music game. This new version will let you play the game as if you are in an RPG. Explore the world, take you own path – be a success or just a sell out this is all up to you. Each quest or gig rewards you with money. Use it to upgrade your look and your gears.

Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes

Nintendo has announced Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. Set for the 3DS, the Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is a co-op multiplayer adventure game for up to three players. The game is coming to 3DS this Fall.
